January 14th

This is where you will find us many nights of the week.  A quick glimpse of the evening after dinner.  Hanging out in Drew's room.

January 13th

I let Drew be in charge of the picture of the day again.  This was the shot he chose of the many he took this night.  Yes the house is a wreck, yes that really is a tent in my living room.  But I'm spending this night with my kids:)

January 12th

We got a package in the mail today and this is what it was.  The dress was made for Avery by someone very near and dear to my heart.  Jes I love it, and I love you.  Thank you for being such an amazing friend!

January 11th

Something about the look on his face in this picture.  Anyway--today Daddy went to the golf show with Shane and brought Drew his very first set of real golf clubs.  Apparently that's a big deal!!!!!

January 10th 2009

I know I already had a post about this day.  But this one is for my 365 project.  A view of the noggin'  one year later.  We also attended a birthday party on this night for Alicia.

January 9th

Drew loves to take showers. He's 4 1/2 right now. I heard him singing and then snapped his picture real quick. This is in our master bath.

January 8th.

Never turn your back on a toddler right? Avery decided she would dump the entire box of graham cracker sticks in her tiny little bowl. Apparently I had not given her enough. I turned around and found this mess all over the end table. So I took the photo opportunity before I cleaned it up. Life with 2 kids! Always a spill that needs cleaned up!

January 7th

This was another busy day and night. We had chinese for dinner. Lams Garden which is our FAVORITE. We usually order Lams Chicken, Lo Mein, and Chicken Noodle Soup for the kids. By the way--I'm totally digging my new camera. Can you tell

January 6th.

Oops--I already forgot to take a picture on this day. Hard to believe! It was a tuesday. The second day of winter quarter. That could explain it. I will instead mention that I am pledging not to do this too many times. Life is busy with 2 little ones:)

January 5th

This one is a picture taken by Drew. He loves to use my little point and shoot camera. He captured Avery covering me in stickers. The girl LOVES stickers! I couldn't get out of the chair.

January 4th 2009

Drew and Avery LOVE to play with play-dough. This is a favorite past time in the winter months when we art stuck in doors. This is a birthday cake creation made for me by Drew. They love to sing Happy Birthday along with their cake creations.....No it's not really my birthday.

January 3rd.

Our big fluffy chair where I usually hang-out on the weekend mornings. On this morning I caught Avery checking out her sites too. She didn't know I caught her. She only takes up half of the ottoman. Man I love this girl.

January 2nd....365 Style

This is something that I see on a regular basis around my house. Drew and Daddy wrestling. All of a sudden Avery had to get in on the action!

Project 365.

  • So I'm gonna have to play catch up here in the beginning. I ran across this great idea for something called project 365. The idea is to commit to taking a photo everyday for a year to document your life. Since my scrapbooking has been on hold for so long I thought this would be great for me. one pic-simple journaling about the pic, put it all together and Tada--a great photo journal of the year. I do want to put it together into a book but for now I'll blog it daily to keep up. I am terrible about printing pictures so basically the possibility to get really behind is LURKING. This will help......I hope:)
I decided to start on New Years day. It would just be easier that way, but you can start anytime in the year that you want. 2008 was not a great year---let's be honest about that. I have high hopes for 2009--why not capture it in pictures. After all my favorite past-time is photography.

How sweet it is!

And this is what January 10th looked like in 2009. It was a much different day than 1 year before. We are very thankful for the sweet little person she has become. She has surprised even us with how well she is doing. I wanted to mark the day with a special celebration, but instead we spent the day shopping and then headed to a birthday party in the evening.

What A Difference A Year Makes!

This is what January 10th looked like in 2008. We obviously were in a very different time. I have tried many times over the last year to start this blog and have come up short. I promise to go back and start from the beginning of the story--but today seemed like the perfect time to make my first post. It has been a big year since my little girl went thru her "extreme makeover". I can't believe how far she has come. I searched countless hours for a blog that would give me a similar story, and I never found it. So here I am today. Ready to start this journey to share, hoping that we can help someone with their "extreme makeover" journey.
